Good Year

Good Year

Where should I start?! Hmmm….

As the name of this post says, it was a “Good Year”….:)
It was long and hard year in many ways, but still very enjoyable and successful.
I have achieved and done a lot.

Some of the achievements this year were:

> Passed Krav Maga Instructor course

On the start of this year, I have completed and passed IKMF (International Krav Maga Federation) Krav Maga instructor course in Cork, under watchful eye of Tamir Gilad.
Tamir is an Expert Level 5 and Head of the IKMF Testing Committee.
I have joined the Irish IKMF Instructor team and have been representing great standards of the IKMF Krav Maga in Limerick city, Munster region and Ireland.

> Graduated from University of Limerick

After four years of intensive study I had successfully graduate it from  University of Limerick, with BA in Marketing & Business.
It was hard on me and my family, but we held on and done it. Being a father, mature student and a trainer at the same time, I honestly don’t know how did I do it by the end of it.
That was one of the proudest moments of my life.
On the graduation day, my mother and my fiancee came to support me. I had good few friends that came around to celebrate this wonderful moment of my life.

> Success as a Krav Maga Instructor

After passing my Instructor course, I have been promoted as Head Instructor in UL Krav Maga Club.
I have been with that club from the start. So after 5 years being part of it, running it and training lads I have succeeded to become Head Instructor. Its been a good times, and my volunteering part of CV is also filled up, too..:)

UL Krav Maga Club

Beside UL, I have successfully started new Krav Maga club with few other Krav Maga enthusiasts.
This is Response Krav Maga, which is Non-Profitable organisation, that provides simple and realistic self defense training in Limerick City and it is part of IKMF (International Krav Maga Federation).
I am Head Instructor and care taker of the club. Our idea is to teach people to be confident and ready for what ever life throws at them.

Also we have organised the biggest Krav Maga grading ever in Limerick.
It was a huge success for IKMF in Ireland and all of our clubs. There were 3 clubs graded in UL on the 27th of October.
The clubs were Krav Maga Cork, UL Krav Maga and Response Krav Maga.
I have sent over 20 people from the two clubs (UL and Response) to be graded and they all have passed with flying colors.
It was very successful day and I have been proud on all of them.

Successful Instructor Grading

I can say proudly that I succeeded to pass my grading with on of the highest ranked Krav Maga instructors in world, Avi Moyal.
Avi is Head Instructor and Chairman of IKMF. He is Master level Krav Maga Instructor.
Avi Moyal came to visit Ireland for the first time and he held Instructor Updates, Grading and Students Seminar. He is a person of very high importance and very easy going fella. It was pleasure meeting him and grading under him.

The year conclusion

Achievements were great, but most important thing is that my family is good and well.
For me that is the best thing that I can look back and say, thanks that everyone was well and there was no serious things happened to any of us.
The 2013 was a good year, but I hope that 2014 will be even better to me and my family.

Also I wish a great New Year to anyone who is reading this…Only the best I wish ye all….:)

Regards,
